Top Joy Poker Tour to make Australian debut in Sydney with impressive 26-event schedule

Australia will welcome a brand-new poker tour to its shores next month when Top Joy Poker Tour (TJPT) makes its Down Under debut with the 2024 TJPA Sydney Poker Championships.

Scheduled to take place at Canterbury League Club, the TJPA Sydney Poker Championships will run for 11 days from 29 April to 9 May, featuring an amended 26-event schedule and buy-ins ranging from $175 up to $10,600. Highlighting the championship is the much-anticipated Main Event, boasting a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, setting the stage for what promises to be memorable showdown.

Providing a little of something for everyone, TJPA Sydney boasts an impressive 13 events with buy-ins of $550 or under, while for those wanting to test their mettle there are handful of High Roller events which promise to attract some of the nation’s best..

These include the $5,500 High Roller starting 2 May and the $10,600 Super High Roller from 7 May.

The $2,500 Main Event kicks off from midday on 3 May with four Day 1 flights – the last of them being a Turbo – and satellites running each day in the lead-up.

Other highlights include an $1,100 6-handed one day event on 29 April and a $1,100 Mystery Bounty starting on 1 May, plus a $5,300 PLO High Roller from 8 May.

Initially established in China, where it has held multiple successful poker series in recent years, Top Joy Poker Tour spread its wings internationally with its first Korean event last year and the recent Top Joy Poker Malaysia at Genting Highlands.
