World Poker Tour announces dates for 2024 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas

The World Poker Tour has released the dates for this year’s edition of its flagship WPT World Championship, to run from 3 to 23 December 2024 at Wynn Las Vegas.

This will be the third running of the WPT World Championship since its 2022 debut and will serve as the finale of Season XXII of the World Poker Tour.

“With great pride, we unveil the festival dates for the highly anticipated 2024 WPT World Championship,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “The tradition continues as we enter our third year alongside the incredible Wynn Las Vegas team, so mark your calendars in preparation for what is sure to be another memorable December.”

Last year’s event, attended by PokerMedia Australia, drew a total of 33,712 entries across the 23-event schedule with more than US$100 million in prize pools generated. Fourteen events generated a prize pool of at least US$1 million.

The series also saw multiple records fall, including the overall WPT attendance record for a live WPT event with 10,512 starters in the WPT Prime Championship and a WPT Main Tour attendance record of 3,835 in the WPT World Championship itself. Dan Sepiol took down the WPT World Championship for a massive US$5,282,954 payday.

“We are ecstatic to continue our partnership with the World Poker Tour for the third consecutive year,” said Ryan Beauregard, executive director of poker operations at Wynn Las Vegas. “Over the coming months, we’ll work diligently to craft an event schedule that poker players from all over the world won’t want to miss.”

The full schedule for the festival will be announced in the coming months.
