This year’s WPT Australia at The Star Sydney will feature a massive 36 events, part of a new-look series that will for the first time see the WPT Australia main tour championship and WPT Prime combined in the one festival.
Star this week released the schedules for all of its upcoming 2026 series, which also include the first-ever NSW Shot Clock Super Stacks taking place in July. This follows the recent news that Star has reinstated key personnel as part of efforts by the company to maintain its poker momentum through the remainder of the year and to establish a broader events calendar for 2027.
Running from 10 to 30 September, the WPT Australia schedule features the $1,500 WPT Prime Championship and the $5,000 WPT Australia Main Event, as well as other highlight events such as the $1,500 Australian Poker Cup, $500 Ladies Australian Championship, $1,350 Mystery Bounty and the $5k Australian PLO Championship.

The NSW Shot Clock Super Stacks follows on from the successful QLD Shot Clock Super Stacks at The Star Gold Coast earlier this year. Featuring buy-ins starting from $400, it runs from 9 to 20 July and features 20 events including a $1,500 Main Event with three starting flights.
