Dejan Boskovic rode his nerves all the way into the chip lead as the final table for the 2026 Aussie Millions Main Event was set in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Boskovic, who has already locked up a career-high score by making it this far, found himself in a sweat early on Day 4 when he fired out a massive river bet holding only a busted straight draw and watched Jackson Young go deep into the tank. Two-and-a-half minutes later, having used up four time banks, Young eventually folded and Boskovic – breathing a sigh of relief – was on his way.
The Sydneysider leads a quality field into today’s final table with a stack of over 12 million, although he will be well aware of Malcolm Trayner – one of Australia’s hottest young talents and winner of the WSOP Mystery Millions event in 2024 – looming up just behind him with over 10 million, good enough for second.
It’s an action-packed field too, with long-time crusher Dean Blatt, Sydney cash game specialist Sheldon Mayer and comeback kid Patrick Barba all in the mix.
Falling just short of the final table was American Scott Stewart – winner of the 2024 WPT World Championship in Las Vegas – in eighth, while Sydney Champs winner Michael Zhang, Mishel Anunu and Andrew Hinrichsen also fell just short.
Others to run deep on Day 4 before ultimately hitting the rail included Michael Kanaan, Victor Dai, Taylor Joyce, Sam Higgs, Josh Abady, Alan Pham and Alex Lynskey.
The final table is scheduled to resume from 2:30pm today with all remaining players guaranteed a minimum $211,750 payday, although all eyes will be on the massive $1,667,050 top prize.
