Former Pavilion Poker Room in western Sydney rebrands as Aurum Poker Grand following $4 million transformation

The former Pavilion Poker Room at St Johns Park Bowling Club in western Sydney has relaunched as Aurum Poker Grand – described as one of Australia’s most refined and sophisticated poker destinations.

Previously the home of WPT League Sydney, Aurum Poker Grand – now located on Level 1 at St Johns Park Bowling Club – represents a $4 million transformation with the goal of delivering a fusion of luxury, entertainment and world-class gaming across three distinct environments.

The purpose-built poker room offers 15 custom-built poker tables complemented by signature gold stone pendant lighting, premium player seating, advanced room and table surveillance to ensure the highest standards of integrity and security, multiple smart displays, plus high-end finishes and luxury design elements.

The room can be scaled to house up to 40 tables for major tournament series.

The renovated precinct also features Aurum Bar, with elegant booth seating aimed at creating a lounge-style atmosphere, and an indoor and outdoor gaming area offering modern facilities for guests.

Bruno Rao, Head of Poker at Aurum Poker Grand, said, “Our philosophy behind Aurum Poker Grand was simple – create an environment where every detail matters. From the equipment and layout to the overall atmosphere, everything has been designed to elevate the player experience.

“This isn’t just about running poker games – it’s about building a premium destination where players feel the difference the moment they walk in. With the backing of St Johns Park Bowling Club, we’ve been able to bring that vision to life at a level rarely seen in this space.”
