Aussie crushers Malcolm Trayner and Michael Addamo are flying the Aussie flag tonight after taking big chip leads in flagship WPT and WSOP Main Events.
Sydney’s Trayner, fresh from winning his first WSOP bracelet in June, is a clear chip leader in the WPT World Championship currently taking place at Wynn Las Vegas, with his stack of 3,275,000 after Day 2 placing him well ahead of next best, David “ODB” Baker.
He will be one of 299 players returning for Day 3 – all of them already guaranteed a minimum US$19,600 (US$31,045) payday but with eyes on the massive US$3,138,900 (AU$4.97 million) first place prize. Another Sydneysider, Ehsan Amiri, is also in good shape with 985,000 versus an average stack of around 800,000.

Addamo, meanwhile, has sent a reminder of just how good he can be after storming to a massive chip lead in the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event in the Bahamas. The Melbournian’s stack of 83,350,000 places him well clear of second-best Marcelo Aziz’s 60,000,000 in chips and in sight of the US$6 million first prize with just 36 players remaining from the starting field of 1,378.
Addamo will be chasing his fifth WSOP bracelet and his first since 2021 when he famously won two bracelets in two days.
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!
