Warne Bounty event in full swing
Fair “Warne”-ing – no one’s going to be getting Jackson Warne’s bounty if they keep giving him all of the chips.
The Feature Table has been set up for streaming again, broadcasting ‘live’ on a 30minute delay on YouTube, Twitch, and the APTLive Facebook page.
The late great Shane Warne’s son Jackson headlined the table as one of the celebrities in the event, meaning he had a double bounty on his head – but he also had a massive chip lead on the table, so everyone will have their work cut out if they want that one.
The much hyped event – a $350 buy in – has a $100 bounty for every player knocked out, but if it’s one of the host of celebrities scattered throughout the field that bounty is doubled to $200. As of writing, the event has attracted 178 entries, with late registration open until the end of Level 8 – approximately 11:15pm local time.

Shem Goltz’s Indigo Mystery Bounty Grand Slam
Those watching the TLPT Final Table play down to a winner may have been gobsmacked, as the footage cut away every few minutes to reveal Shem Goltz drawing a Mystery Bounty from the barrel – and another – and another?
It turns out that Goltz not only claimed victory in the Indigo Mystery Bounty event, but also laid claim to every single bounty (6 in total) to end the event with a $22,000 pay day, including all the bounties and the first place prize. The kicker? The total pool was $32,000 – which means Goltz’s haul represents 69% of the prize pool. Nice.
Goltz was being railed by partner Catherine Young whilst she was simultaneously competing on a final table of her own, splitting her time between trying to win her own trophy and supporting the high flying Goltz. Despite the distraction, the power couple has come through – the Poker Pulse Podcast member securing her own trophy – finishing 1st out of 27 entries in the $150 NLH Deepstack not long after for a $1,000 prize.

Andy Lee crowned TLPT Main Event Champion
Following the elimination of Yisha Chen in third, both Travis Endersby and Andy Lee did take a break to successfully reach an ICM deal – Endersby will add $214,045 to his lifetime earnings, while Andy Lee collected $205,305.
Play continued to find a winner, and with all of the remaining prize pool accounted for in that deal, the two were effectively playing for the title and trophy – of course, for some players, those honours are the reason that they play to begin with.
Andy Lee would complete an incredible rise, from bottom of the counts with just four big blinds to start the day. The last hand saw Lee shove with 9♠7♠ after Endersby, holding 10♠5♣, fired 2.3million on the board showing 7♦10♦6♣5♥.
The 8♠ on the river sent Lee straight to the winners chair to complete a truly remarkable performance from the Sydney based pro.
Lee’s past notable achievements include both a 2020 WSOP Online bracelet in Pot Limit Omaha, and a 2017 WSOPC ring, winning the prestigious $20K High Roller at WSOPC Sydney – and he can now add a TLPT trophy and ring to that cabinet.

End of the rollercoaster for Chen
Yisha Chen found herself extremely short stacked after a triple barrel bluff failed to get through against Travis Endersby.
Shoving her last 5 big blinds from the button with A♦J♦, Chen got through Andy Lee before Endersby looked her up with K♠2♠, the call representing approximately 10% of his stack.
Another ‘favourable’ flop for Endersby as it ran out 5♠2♣10♠, before Chen was turned dead as the 2♦ peeled off.
Both Lee and Endersby have taken a break, possibly to talk numbers. Chen, meanwhile, collected $116,000 for her podium finish.

Trappy TravisT!
Travis Endersby limped (probably for the first time in 2024) from the small blind with K♥K♣… and was immediately rewarded, as Yisha Chen jammed the big blind with A♦2♥.
A snap call from Endersby and a potentially tournament defining flip to occur as both hands were tabled.
The board of 9♦7♠6♥5♥2♣ was, as Endersby would undoubtedly say himself, “favourable” – and flipped the chip counts in completely the other direction.

Guillen goneski
Two interesting hands in quick succession occurred at the start of the new level after the break; blinds now 125,000/250,000 (250,000).
In the first hand, both Angel Guillen and Travis Endersby folded to leave the shortening stack of Yisha Chen and Andy Lee heads up in a ‘battle of the blinds’ scenario. No hesitation from Chen – all in for 2.4million with 6♣4♣.
Lee took a breath before calling with K♣Q♣ only to see Chen demolish the 5♣8♥7♦ flop and hold to double through leaving Lee with just under 7million.
Very next hand then, and Chen opened the button, now with an actual hand in A♦J♦. Andy Lee relinquished his small blind but Guillen elected to jam for 3.85million with J♣10♣ – quickly called by Chen.
Both players connected on the J♥7♥6♠ flop, but Chen’s kicker stayed ahead on the 8♣, K♣ run out to send Guillen to the rail; ensuring six figure scores for the last three players.

Mayoh wins 9-Game spread
The Australian PPC 9-Game has drawn to a close with Dan Mayoh emerging victorious. The 16-entry event created a prize pool of $31,200, and featured several of our Aussie mixed game stars on the final table, including both Luke Edwards and Matthew Ginn.
A mixed game specialist himself, Mayoh – who is also a self-described “world-class financial modeller and spreadsheet specialist” and has represented Australia at the Financial Modeling World Cup in Las Vegas – adds $15,800 to his already impressive HendonMob after taking victory during the 2-7 Triple Draw rotation with 9♣8♣7♦3♦2♠ over Alex Tchong.
Tchong added a runner-up finish to his resume after claiming victory in the Australian PLO 8-Max National Championship earlier in the week.
Edwards, who our readers may remember shipped the Australian Mixed Game Championships (HEROS) earlier in the week defeating Ginn heads up to ‘tie up’ the rivalry, got one up on Ginn; Edwards securing a 4th place cash whilst Ginn, despite making the final table, was eliminated outside of the money.

Lynskey coolered
Yisha Chen opened to 300,000 from the cut-off with A♥10♣, and received a call only from Alex Lynskey in the small blind.
Lynskey checked the action across to Chen on the 8♥10♠A♠ flop, prompting Chen to fire a continuation bet of 300,000.
Lynskey, holding 10♦8♦ himself, check-raised to a cool 1million only to see Chen click it back – 2.3million the 3-bet. Lynskey took his time but couldn’t get away, moving in for 3.55million; called by Chen in due course.
The turn 7♦ and river J♦ couldn’t save Lynskey as the Brisbane-based pro locked up a 5th place finish for $61,000. Chen, meanwhile, vaulted up to a whopping 56% of the chips in play, adding Lynskey to her impressive list of scalps in this tournament, which includes Dan “Jungleman” Cates and APT Ambassador Didier Guerin.

Vasquez vanquished
Andres Vasquez went into the last break as the shortest stack with 605,000, and returned to the big blind with blinds now at 75,000/150,000 (150,000).
Alex Lynskey applied the pressure, opening with A♣6♠. Action folded around to Vasquez, who flat called with 5♣4♥, leaving himself just one big blind behind.
Vasquez put that big blind in the middle on the 6♥4♣7♣ flop, snap-called by Lynskey to put him at risk.
Running 9♥, 9♦ were no help to Vasquez, who collects a $45,000 pay day for his second TLPT cash this week.

Seventh this time for Westmorland
Jordan Westmorland was unable to really get anything up and running today but has claimed a second cash in TLPT events here at APT Brisbane.
Getting shorter and shorter since the start of play, Westmorland was crippled after his K♦Q♠ hit top pair on the turn and fell into the slow play trap of Andy Lee’s A♠A♦.
Westmorland eventually would get his last four bigs in with A♥6♥, up against the 9♥9♣ of Westralian Travis Endersby.
Westmorland found no assistance on the 8♣J♦K♦Q♠4♠ board and hit the rail with a $36,000 pay day for his efforts. Andres Vasquez remains in the Main Event – the only other player to have cashed both TLPT Opening Event and TLPT Main Event.
The swing of chips saw Endersby take the chip lead by a single T25K chip, after doubling through Alex Lynskey prior to the elimination of Westmorland, whilst Lee climbed off the bottom rung to third in chips.

Josh Hutchins confirmed as stone bubble
Queensland’s Josh Hutchins became the unfortunate victim of a one two punch, first losing a large chunk of change trying to eliminate short stack Andy Lee.
Hutchins and Lee found themselves all-in preflop; Hutchins holding A♣Q♠ and covering Lee, but Lee was in front with K♠K♦ and would remain in front all the way on the 2♦6♦J♠6♠5♣ board to double through.
Hutchins then shoved from the button for his last 755,000 shortly later with K♣6♦. The big stack of Yisha Chen in the big blind did not require much thinking time, making the call with A♥8♥. The 4♦9♥10♥ flop certainly did not favour Hutchins, and he was eliminated after the board completed Q♣, A♦.

Kang conquered
Yoon Kang 3-bet jammed with A♦8♣ from the small blind over an Alex Lynskey open in middle position. Lynskey hit the tank, utilising several time bank chips, before making the call with 9♥9♦ to put Kang at risk.
Brisbane pro Lynskey remained ahead throughout the 10♦2♥J♥Q♣J♠ board, dodging the overcard and a turned double belly buster to eliminate Kang in 9th place.
The Lord Poker Tour Main Event moved into a new phase; the stone bubble worth $36,000. Andy Lee had found a couple of spots to chip up since the start of play but remained the short stack.
After the hand, a point of contention – it appears on replay that Kang was perhaps not aware of Lynskey’s open. Discussion continued in commentary and amongst the players for several minutes, but the fact remains that poker is a game of attention and, if it was a mistake, these things do happen – even at the professional level.

Warne Bounty excitement
APT Brisbane will play host to the new “Warne Bounty” tournament at 6pm today.
The $350 buy-in event will feature a host of celebrities. Operating as a normal bounty event in that each elimination will score you a $100 bounty, that bounty is doubled to $200 if you manage to eliminate one of the celebrity players in the event.
Some of the confirmed celebrities playing in the event include Jackson Warne, feared poker pro Dan “Jungleman” Cates, former boxing champ Jeff “The Hornet” Horn, NBA Champion Andrew Bogut, St Kilda AFL veteran Steven Baker, former AFL player Brendan Fevola, and former NRL player Chris Walker.
The festivities will kick off with the Warne Bounty Celebrity Meet & Greet at 5:30pm, where 6 winners of a competition on APTLive’s Facebook page will have the chance for dinner and drinks with a celebrity entourage; drawn at 3pm, there isn’t much time left, so get tagging!

After two days of elite level poker, The Lord Poker Tour Main Event has been whittled down from 54 entries to just 9 players. The Final Table will be broadcast live – 30min delay – on YouTube, Twitch, and the APTLive Facebook page.
Leading the field is China’s Yisha Chen, with 4.8million. A regular in high roller cash games at the Triton series, Chen was able to just pip WPT Ambassador Angel Guillen for the top rung.
Guillen – who won a WSOP bracelet in a $2K side event back in 2009 and now resides in the Gold Coast – will return with 4.7million today. Australia’s own WPT Anchor Lynn Gilmartin is in the online rail, joining the crowd watching the live stream on YouTube to support partner Guillen.
Jordan Westmorland is still in the hunt for victory; the 2019 Melbourne Poker Champion finished runner-up in The Lord Poker Tour Opening Event on Monday; yesterday he entered the Main Event FT as the short stack, and found a double in the last two hours to bag up 1.9million – good for fifth in the counts.
With nine players left and seven making the money, the viewing public should be in for a treat from 2pm Brisbane time. The accumulated level of skill around the table should lead to fascinating watching as the players navigate the bubble, juggling ICM pressures, stack dynamics, and, if today was anything to go by, some world class plays.
Play will begin on the soft bubble, with 7 making the money – $36,000 the min cash for 7th while the eventual Champion will walk away with $259,350 and the TLPT Main Event ring.
