The WPT Prime Gold Coast $10K Super High Roller has finished up, with Khac-Trung Tran winning heads-up against Josh McCully to cash out a cool $263,160 top prize and a WPT crystal surfboard trophy.
From a field of 85 total entries – with 22 returning for the start of Day 2 – Khac-Trung Tran outlasted a strong playing field, including Sean Ragozzini, Haozhe Gan, and Day 1 chipleader Edi Fang, to take down the title.
The elimination of Fang proved to be game-changing for Tran as his stack skyrocketed to eight figures and gave him the dominating chip lead into the heads-up phase.

Tran spoke briefly with PokerMedia Australia after his win, jubiliant in his victory as he reflected upon the big swings through the 2 hours of heads up.
“I thought, ‘I don’t want to come second again’,” Tran said, referring to his second-place finish in the WPT Australia Super High Roller event late last year.
“I guess some things just went my way,” he also admitted graciously, acknowledging some of the sweeter runs through the board.
