
A stellar line-up has been assembled after the first day of the WPT Prime Gold Coast $5K Challenge, with Anthony Hachem edging out Najeem Ajez to finish as the overall chip leader.
Anthony – who along with brother Daniel and father Joe, who are also returning for Day 2 – bagged up 1.795 million in chips, followed closely by Ajez with 1.77 million. Sean Ragozzini, Chao Duan and Angel Guillen round out the top five, with Gary Lin and Marco Perri also above the one-million chip mark.
Other notables who will be back in action this afternoon include WPT Prime Gold Coast Opening Event Champion Brandon Bailey, Australian Poker Hall of Famer Billy ‘The Croc’ Argyros, Leo Kamiya, Jeison Berdugo, Po Hu and Gavin Best, who is now eyeing off an opportunity to go back-to-back in this event.
