Top stuff: Ryan Hong leads into final day of Stacked Poker Championship Main Event

After what was another manic day at the tables, Ryan Hong has emerged as one to watch, bagging up the overall chip lead at the end of Day 2 of the Stacked Poker Championship Main Event.

The Melburnian grinder’s performance throughout yesterday’s session was virtually unmatched, rocketing up to more than two million in chips after eliminating Australian Poker Hall of Famer Jono Karamalikis in 20th place, before taking out Jim Chahoud (16th place), Chris Colaneri (14th place) and Josh Foster (12th place) en route to bagging 3.155 million in chips.

Returning in second chip position for the unofficial final table is P.P. Huang, who along with fellow Super High Roller final tablists Gary Benson and Pierre Aoukar, are all still in contention and adds to what will be an interesting table dynamic, when play resumes this afternoon.

The final 10 players have locked up a minimum payout of $7,900, with tonight’s winner earning themselves the title of SPC Main Event Champion and the top prize of $134,000.
