The World Poker Tour will return to The Star Gold Coast in March with the WPT Prime Gold Coast Main Event set to run from 2 to 6 March 2023.
The WPT released its full schedule for the first half of the year overnight, with WPT Prime Gold Coast the first of three WPT Prime events scheduled for the Asia-Pacific region between January and June. It will be followed by WPT Prime Cambodia at NagaWorld in Phnom Penh from 16 to 20 March and WPT Prime Vietnam at Crown Poker Club in Hanoi from 25 to 29 May.
More details on the full WPT Prime Gold Coast series will be released in the near future.
“It is the pride of WPT to offer such a wide range of tournament festivals when it comes to buy-in and location,” said VP of Global Tour Management and recent inductee into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, Angelica Hael.
“We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all of our live partners worldwide and our appreciation for the players for their continued support.”
The maiden edition of WPT Prime Gold Coast was held in June with Yang Lei topping a field of 896 players to take home a prize of $216,763 plus a ticket to the WPT World Championship, currently underway at Wynn Las Vegas.
