Big finish: Jessy Song leads WSOP Circuit Gold Coast Main Event final table

Another historic moment in Australian poker is on the horizon after Jessy Song finished Day 3 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Gold Coast Main Event as the overwhelming chip leader.

Song was one of the 34 players to return for the penultimate day of the $2,500 buy-in tournament and started with a little over one million in chips, however after scoring a massive double-up through fellow final tablist Scott Wilson during the evening session, the cash game grinder ended the day with 14.35 million in chips, equal to roughly a third of the chips in play.

Song also holds more than a 2:1 chip lead over her next closest opponent in Adam Cusenza, who bagged up 6,025,000 and is one of three South Australians to have made this final table, joined by Day 2 chip leader Mata Ye, who returns third in chips overall, along with Jin Li, who will start as the short stack.

Po Hu and Tu Le will start in the middle of the pack, along with Jonathan Levy, who comes in hot from his recent success at the APT Sydney series in Campbelltown, as well Colombian sensation and WPT League Alpha Champion Jeison Berdugo.
