The Australian Poker League has released its full APL Poker Tour schedule for 2023, with a busy 15-stop schedule that includes new venues and expanded 6-day series at selected stops.
The 2023 schedule includes visits to five Australian states, kicking off in Queensland at the APL’s long-time venue of Southport Sharks on the Gold Coast. There will be a total of five visits to Queensland next year, including two trips to The Ville in Townsville in February and November. And let’s not forget the big one – the 2023 APL Million at Southport Sharks from 18 to 28 August!
New South Wales will host three stops in 2023 with the APLPT returning to Canterbury Hurlstone RSL in late January and Castle Hill in October. It will also add a third, brand new venue to the schedule – Rooty Hill RSL – from 23 to 28 May. All three Sydney series will take place over six full days.
There is good news for Victorian players with the APLPT returning to Melbourne following a forced hiatus in 2022. APLPT Melbourne will take place at Club Italia Sporting Club over six days in March with a second series planned for December at a venue yet to be confirmed.
There are also two stops in both Adelaide and Albury in 2023 plus a single stop in Tasmania in what APL Major Events Director Joel Williams describes as “The largest year of poker in Australian history”.
