2022 APL Million Main Event final table set as series prize pool reaches $5 million

The final table of the history-making, record-breaking APL Million Main Event has now been confirmed in the midst of what was another massive day at Southport Sharks.

With the running total for the series in excess of $4.6 million prior to the start of day’s play, the $5 million mark was achieved in less than three hours, with huge numbers brought in for both the $300 buy-in Monster Stack and the $5K Shot Clock Challenge.

All eyes, however, were on the closing stages of the Main Event, which saw 2020 Champion Kiavash Arbabi mount another deep run before being felted by Jordan Batis. Dylan Desmarchelier was then confirmed as the final table bubble at 11:15pm local time last night, finishing in 10th place after being eliminated at the hands of Nathan Monk, who returns as chip leader.

The final nine players have all locked up $34,490, while tonight’s winner will cash out a top prize of $400,900. Play resumes at 12:30pm AEST, with the final table broadcast available on a 30-minute delay at playAPL.tv, courtesy of live streaming partners LCAPoker.
