Seyed Nasab has headlined almost every aspect of The Star Sydney Champs Mystery Bounty tournament, winning both the title and the Grand Bounty for more than $100,000 in total prize money.
Having returned from Day 1A with 377,000 in chips, Nasab set sail on Day 2 with a new game plan, with the unique dynamic of the mystery bounties incentivising aggression as Nasab alluded to after the win.
“When there was a short stack, even if I had average cards, I would call,” Nasab told PokerMedia Australia.
That strategy proved profitable for Nasab, with 16 bounty chips collected for a total of $65,325 in bounties, including the Grand Bounty of $40,000, which he pulled from the chest in only the second pick of the day.

From there, Nasab proved unstoppable at the tables, going on to take down the title, but not before agreeing to a four-handed ICM chop with Chad Awerbuch, Adrian Pacheco and Suzy Khouiss.
Nasab intends to continue playing in the 2022 Sydney Champs series, with plans to return to The Star to play the Main Event and will “100 percent” play again whenever another Mystery Bounty tournament comes around.
Nasab also revealed to PMA that he hopes to put a large sum of that money towards his mortgage, and enjoy a belated birthday celebration with family and friends for his wife, Fariba.
