APL Poker Tour heading back to Sydney from 6 to 10 July 2022

With record-breaking stops in Hobart and Adelaide now in the books, the Australian Poker League heads back north next week for the latest edition of APL Poker Tour Sydney.

To be held at Castle Hill RSL Club, APLPT Sydney will run from 6 to 10 July 2022 with a massive schedule of 24 events to be held across five days – highlighted by the $175 Main Event with an estimated $200,000 prize pool. Players can participate in multiple Day 1s and take their best stack through to Day 2, which will be held on Sunday 10 July.

APL representatives told PokerMedia Australia they are also hopeful of bettering the $631,440 series prize pool achieved at the previous APLPT Sydney in early March.

Arguably the most anticipated event of this latest APLPT Sydney series is a new-look $2,500 buy-in Centurion, which kicks off at 4pm on Wednesday 6 July.

Also on board is new APLPT Centurion Brand Ambassador Justin Wong, who said, “I’ve been a part of APL for quite some time now, and have had the pleasure of watching them grow as a brand while they cater to the broader poker community,” Wong said.

“The Centurion Event [at APLPT Sydney] has a generous 100,000 start stack and 60-minute levels, and a new start time of 4pm Wednesday afternoon to ensure the event meets the demands of the Sydney poker market.

“As we look towards offering bigger and better tournaments, the APLPT aims to provide tournaments to suit players of all stake levels.”

Other series highlights include the $1,250 Jackstar, the $600 Deep Freeze and the $350 Monster Stack.
