The APL Poker Tour (APLPT) returns to Adelaide this week with an expanded series of 24 events across five days from 22 to 26 June.
To be held in the Grand Ballroom at SkyCity Adelaide, this unique casino-based series continues Adelaide’s growing reputation as a stronghold of Aussie poker, with last year’s APLPT Adelaide event having been voted “Best Poker Series of 2021” at the South Australian Poker Awards.
Kicking off at 4pm on Wednesday with the $120 Opening Event, which features a $7,500 GTD prize pool, APLPT Adelaide features buy-ins from as low as $60 – and Main Event satellites from just $40. For those with a larger bankroll, Wednesday’s action includes the $2,500 Centurion while the popular $1,250 Jackstar Super High Roller kicks off from 3pm on Friday. The event’s ambassador, Jackie Glazier, will be looking to defend her crown after winning the Jackstar event at APLPT Tasmania earlier this month.
The Main Event itself, with a $175 buy-in, kicks off from 3pm on Thursday with the opening Day 1 flight.
“We’re delighted to bring an even bigger and better APLPT Adelaide schedule to SkyCity Adelaide this June,” said APL Major Events Director, Joel Williams.
“Held again in one of the best locations in the country, the Grand Ballroom at SkyCity Adelaide, the 24-event schedule promises tournaments to suit players of all shapes, sizes and budgets.”
