Mina Elias dominates the Star Gold Coast Champs PLO

After narrowly missing out on the final table in the Treasury Brisbane Poker Festival Main Event in January, Mina Elias has broken through for his maiden PLO title.

Elias went on a rampage throughout the finale of the Star Gold Coast Champs $440 PLO, eliminating all but one opponent on the second and final day of play to secure a $13,080 payday.

Speaking to PokerMedia Australia after his win, Elias said that the result was unexpected as it was only his third or fourth PLO tournament that he’d played, attributing the victory to a bit of “run good, pure and simple” and was delighted to have “got the job done”.
