The World Poker Tour is heading to Sydney for the very first time with The Star Sydney to host a WPT DeepStacks series from 30 March to 11 April 2022.
Sydney is one of three initial WPTDeepStacks stops announced by the WPT early Wednesday morning (Australia time) as part of its 2022 schedule, alongside events in the Netherlands and California.
Full series details have not yet been released, however the WPTDeepStacks Sydney Main Event will run from 7 to 11 April and feature a $1,500 buy-in.
The decision to host a WPTDeepStacks event in Sydney follows the huge success of WPTDeepStacks Gold Coast at The Star Gold Coast last May – won by Sydney-based Will Davies.

The Star Sydney recently announced that its weekly Monday and Wednesday tournaments will resume for the first time in eight months from 14 February 2022.
