The Australian Poker League (APL) and PokerMedia Australia (PMA) are pleased to announce a new collaboration that will see the APL exclusively use PMA as its live reporting partner for APL Poker Tour (APLPT) events and the APL Million in 2022.
The partnership covers at least 14 APL events planned throughout 2022 in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania and will see PMA provide full and comprehensive coverage of each of these events throughout the year. Coverage will include special event previews and reviews via PMA’s website and social media platforms plus written and video updates across both APL’s and PMA’s social media platforms on event days.
The first event to come under the partnership will be APLPT Queensland, scheduled to take place at Southport Sharks from 6 to 9 January 2022. Details on the APL’s other APLPT events will be released throughout the year.
“The entire APLPT Team are delighted to be partnering with PokerMedia Australia for 2022 and beyond,” APL Director of Major Events Joel Williams said. “We are committed to growing our Tour, expanding our offering and improving our delivery of what we hope soon becomes one of the country’s top Poker Tournament environments, and feel confident that teaming up with PokerMedia Australia will help us achieve this.
“2022 promises to be an enormous year for both the APLPT and the much-loved APL Million, and the alliance with PMA can only benefit all involved.”
PMA Managing Editor, Ben Blaschke said, “PokerMedia Australia is thrilled to be partnering with the APL to provide live reporting content throughout 2022.
Since its launch earlier this year, the APLPT has quickly cemented its status as one of the premier mid-tier event series in Australia and with borders now reopening nationwide, I have no doubt the tour will become bigger and better than ever over the next 12 months.
“PMA looks forward to being part of the APLPT’s growth story, along with the highly anticipated return of the popular APL Million.”
