Gavin Best leads Star Poker Gold Coast Summer Series final table as Norvock, Lynskey lurk close behind

A day that began with 114 players hoping to lift the Star Poker Gold Coast Summer Series Main Event trophy ended with just nine still in contention heading into the final day’s play on Monday.

Gavin Best is final table chip leader, having entered Day 2 as one of the bigger stacks and maintained his place near the top of the leaderboard throughout the afternoon.

He was also single-minded when asked by PokerMedia Australia for his game plan heading into the final table, answering only “Win.”

That won’t be an easy task given the two men sitting just behind him in the chip counts. Josh Norvock, one of the rising stars of Aussie poker, entered this event fresh off winning three titles at the most recent Check Raise Poker Championships, while Alex Lynskey is already one of the most feared men on the felt and will be looking to improve on his third-place finish in the WPTDeepStacks Gold Coast Main Event at this very venue in May.

Lynskey, of course, was a member of the November Nine at the 2018 WSOP and WSOP International Circuit Sydney champion that same year – just a few of his many accomplishments in recent times.

As always, PMA will bring you all the live coverage of the tar Poker Gold Coast Summer Series Main Event final table from 12.30pm AEST (1.30pm AEDT) as we play down to our winner!
