Adelaide’s Stacked Social announces new dates for Stacked Poker Championship

Adelaide’s Stacked Social has announced new dates for its Stacked Poker Championship, with the series now set to be held from 28 January to 7 February 2022.

Featuring five events over 11 days, the Stacked Poker Championship will include a guaranteed $100,000 first prize for the $2,200 main event, which will run for four days from 4 February with two Day 1 flights.

The series will also feature two $350 buy-in No Limit Hold’em events, a $550 NLHE event and a $550 PLO event.

“Our previous championship awarded a quarter million dollars in prizes and firmly put us on the map as one of Australasia’s elite poker destinations,” said Stacked Social’s Managing Director, Andrew Michael.

“Our team is committed to providing the best experience possible.”

Located in the heart of North Adelaide, Stacked Social is described as an elegantly designed poker-themed cognac and cocktail lounge offering a vintage Hollywood feel with a touch of Vegas charm.

The Stacked Social team says it aims to treat players with hospitality unlike any other poker series in Australia, with gourmet food selections, sophisticated cocktails and a boutique list of wine, beer and spirits.

Originally scheduled for November 2021, the revised dates for the Stacked Poker Championship should open the door for players from the eastern seaboard states to take part as borders start reopening in the lead-up to Christmas.

“Interstate competitors were integral to the success of our previous championship, with visitors from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia all making the journey to Adelaide to compete for the $100,000 first prize,” Andrew explained. “The series attracted many high-profile poker personalities including ‘The Croc’ (Billy Argyros) who has been a huge supporter of the business since we launched back in 2019.”

Australian Poker Hall of Famer Argyros has been named as Event Ambassador.
