The PMA Podcast: WSOP Online Main Event winner Stoyan Madanzhiev

With the World Series of Poker at the Rio in Las Vegas postponed this year due to COVID-19, the biggest annual poker series on the planet went virtual in 2020.

WSOP Online attracted a total of 239,754 entries representing 166 nationalities across 85 bracelet events, breaking records for the largest online poker tournament prize pool in history at US$27,559,500 and the most entries for any single WSOP event with 44,576.

All the talk, however has been about the inaugural WSOP Online Main Event champion, Bulgaria’s Stoyan Madanzhiev, who topped a field of 5,802 players to claim the hefty US$3,904,685 first prize.

PokerMedia Australia caught up with Madanzhiev to discuss his famous victory, what life has been like in the weeks since and what his plans are for the future. Enjoy!
