The World Series of Poker has announced its full schedule of US$10,000 buy-in and higher events for the 2019 WSOP in Las Vegas, with a total of 20 high buy-in events to be held between 28 May and 16 July 2019.
The schedule features two new US$10,000 events, including the WSOP’s first ever “Short Deck” No-Limit Hold’em event starting Sunday 2 June in which all cards between 2 and 5 are removed from the deck.
There will also be a 50th anniversary US$50,000 buy-in tournament, run over four days and with 300,000 chip starting stacks.
The 2019 WSOP Main Event will kick off on 3 July and feature three starting flights as well as an increased starting stack of 60,000 chips.
“We are proud to be the only tournament series offering such a wide variety of poker variants,” said WSOP Vice President Jack Effel. “Players at this buy-in level should continue to expect terrific structures, with registration open until Day 2 in most cases and plenty of play to determine the champion in each discipline.”
