Taipei, December 2018 – PokerMaster is pleased to announce that it will host the 2nd PokerMaster Taiwan Millions Tournament in Taipei from 16 to 27 January 2019.
To be held at Taipei Municipal Stadium for the very first time, the PokerMaster Taiwan Millions Tournament will boast a total of 19 events, including the NT8,000 (AU$360) Main Event kicking off on Saturday 19 January.
It will also incorporate a new “Super Table” live broadcast system featuring commentary from a number of well-known professional players, with all events to be included in the GPIC global poker rankings.
The PokerMaster Taiwan Millions Tournament has been at the leading edge of Taiwan’s poker boom, with the most recent running of the series in July 2018 seeing a Taiwanese record of 537 players take part in the Main Event. It was at this series that PokerMaster introduced live card cameras on featured tables to allow viewers to observe players’ hands and strategies – greatly improving the visibility of the game.
Aside from offering a comprehensive range of events to players, the PokerMaster Taiwan Millions Tournament also provides a unique opportunity for international players to visit and experience the special charm of Taiwan.
The PokerMaster Taiwan Millions Tournament will be held in cooperation with Hong Kong’s HKPPA, Japan AOPT, Singapore SPL, Korea KOPT, Filipino Poker Association and Australia professional player groups.
