Inaugural Storm Poker Challenge to be held at Crown Melbourne

NRL team Melbourne Storm along with Crown Resorts, Hachem Management Group and The Shane Warne Foundation have announced the inaugural Storm Poker Challenge. The event will be held at the Crown Poker Room at Crown Melbourne on Tuesday August 19.

The event will include a high stakes texas hold’em poker challenge. Players will start with a stack of 5,000 in chips (to be represented at Storm Poker Dollars – not redeemable for cash). A number of Storm players and coaches will be in attendance along with various sporting celebrities and Melbourne VIP’s including 2005 World Series of Poker Champion Joe Hachem.

The Melbourne Storm come off an impressive bounce-back win against the Canberra Raiders at AAMI stadium on Saturday evening. The win places them in eighth place on the ladder with seven games remaining in the regular season. The Storm will be hoping for solid performances in the lead-up to the Storm Poker Challenge where their finals aspirations may be realised by then.

Melbourne Storm headline sponsor Crown Resorts are staunch supporters of the sole Melbourne NRL team and are currently in their fourth year of their mutually beneficial relationship. Crown Resorts feature on the front of Melbourne Storm’s jersey. Investment: $295 per person or $2,750 for a table of ten (Storm player included)
