
Just seven players will miss a spot in the money after two full days on the felt at Crown Melbourne in the latest APPT tournament. Day two ended with 43 players remaining of the 309 starters in the $3000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event, sponsored by PokerStars.
New Zealander David Yan is the chip leader on 705,500. He took the chip lead early on in the day and did not relinquish it, building steadily as he eliminated players.
There is still a host of seasoned professionals yapping at Yan’s heals including Jonathan Karamalikis (583,000), Billy ‘The Croc’ Argyros (356,500), Martin Kozlov (305,000), Jason Gray (240,500) and Tino Lechich (165,500).
The list of players KOed on day two included Andrew Hinrichsen, Brendon Rubie, Matthew Wakeman, Julius Colman, Graeme Putt, Bryan Huang, Gary Benson, Daniel Neilson, Joe Hachem, Jarred Graham and Aaron Benton.
