PUB POKER: Full House Group celebrates women in poker at Vic Ladies Champs

It may be hard to believe when you look at the list of entrants in a major casino event, but female players make up more than 20 per cent of the Australian poker-playing public.

On Sunday (April 21) at Hotel 520 in Tarneit, the Full House Group will host The Ladies Poker Champs. The group behind APL, 888PL and Pub Poker is thrilled to celebrate the women who support their poker tournaments and are excited to host what promises to be a fun-filled day of poker.

There will be some great cash and prizes up for grabs, including a $1000 guaranteed cash first prize as well as the chance to be crowned the ladies poker champion of Victoria.

With women making up more than 20 per cent of the poker market the team at Full House Group believe it is important to honour the support shown by its female players, and The Vic Ladies Champs is the perfect vehicle.

The tournament is open to women poker players from beginners to pros and the team look forward to entertaining everyone from venue managers, Crown dealers, industry women and loyal poker players.

There will also be a couple of side tournaments for the guys, so partners are encouraged to come along. Also in attendance will be Aussie Olympians Alisa Camplin and Lauryn Mark.

With Hotel 520 being one of the best new venues west of Melbourne, this is a great opportunity to showcase this fantastic hotel and make use of the wonderful facilities on offer throughout the day.

Full House Group will also be raising funds for Finnan’s Gift, a fabulous charity organisation doing some amazing work for children born with congenital heart defects, as well as their families.

In 2011 Finnan’s Gift donated a state of the art echo cardiology heart scanning machine to the Cardiology Department at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), and in 2012 the Finnan’s Gift Grant was kicked off to ensure a new and tangible gift is made to the RCH each year. See for more info.
