ANZPT Sydney is quickly turning into a tour de force for Australia’s leading female poker players. First it was Trudie Sultana’s deep run in the Opening Event followed by Errolyn Strang’s victory in the PMA Special Event.
In event four on the ANZPT Sydney schedule, Melbourne’s Jackie Glazier (pictured left) made it two out of four for the girls with victory in the $550 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha event, which drew a field of 77 players.
Australia’s leading female on the list of live tournament winnings and the only local player on the prestigious roster of Ivey Poker pros, Glazier defeated NZ’s Kevin Clark heads-up for the title. Popular Singapore player Bryan Huang was third while renowned PLO specialist Roy Bhasin placed seventh.
Glazier famously finished runner-up to Greg Ostrander in the $3000 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2012 WSOP, worth more than USD $450,000. Her best finish in a non-Hold’em tournament was second in the Mixed-game Event at the ANZPT Grand Final in Melbourne until this PLO victory.

• Players swamped Star Poker tonight for the opening flight of the $2200 buy-in Main Event. We were proud to be on the rail for the first running of this event back in 2009 when a massive field of 493 players battled for a prizepool jut shy of $1 million.
That final table featured John Caridad, Billy Argyros and Joel Dodds but it was Paren ‘Puzz’ Arzoomanian who took home the first prize of almost $250,000.
Angelo Hamataj defeated Mike Ivin heads-up for the 2010 title and $219,000 payout for first with Michael Kanaan emerging victorious 12 months later, earning $195,000.
The defending champion is the respected Hong Kong-based Scot Gordon Huntly, who conquered a final table that included then-reigning Aussie Millions champion Oliver Speidel to claim the first prize of more than $220,000.
