One of the most innovative promotions in Aussie poker has returned in the lead-up to the third running of The MAIN EVENT next month.
The ‘Search for the Golden Ticket’ kicked-off on Christmas Eve with three weeks of the promotion still to run. The aim for 888PL, APL and Pub Poker players is to collect all four of the weekly clue cards by playing in their regular events.
This will grant players entry into the ‘secret’ Golden Ticket tournament with $1200 seats into the MAIN EVENT III up for grabs. Players will need to work out the time, date and location of the secret qualifier event based on the clues on the cards.
Upcoming promotion dates are January 7-13 (clue 2), January 14-20 (clue 3) and January 21-27 (clue 4). In order to participate in the Golden Ticket event players must collect four clue cards from a game in each of the four clue weeks and present them at the secret location on the day of the event. Additional cards may be collected and each full set will add on to the starting stack.
Players may trade cards to get a full set but will still have to have played the corresponding number of games. One complete set of Clue Cards equates to one entry to the tournament and a starting stack of 5000 chips.
There are also five extra seats into the MAIN EVENT III available during this period through the ONLINE OPENER. Players can qualify for this event by winning a nightly tournament during the promotion period (until January 27).
The ONLINE OPENER will be held on February 2, 2013 from 11am AEDST, while the MAIN EVENT III will be played at Crown Melbourne on February 20-24.
