PUB POKER: Aussie Millions seats up for grabs in APL Satellite Series

One of the most anticipated editions of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship kicks-off at Crown Melbourne on January 17, with hundreds of the world’s best players set to join Australia’s premier poker performers.

The highlight of the series, as always, is the $10,600 buy-in Aussie Millions No Limit Hold’em Main Event, which comprises five full days of play, with Day 1 split into three flights to accommodate the ever-growing field. The structure is one of the best anywhere in the world, with 30,000 start bank, 90-minute levels on Day 1 and Day 2 and then two-hour levels from Day 3 onwards.

Play begins nine-handed, then is broken down to eight-handed by the end of Day 1 and is re-drawn eight-handed at the start of Day 2. Play continues until there are 36 players remaining, at which time another re-draw occurs and play becomes six-handed.

Over the next six weeks, Australian Poker League players will have the chance to join the field via one of three Aussie Millions satellites that will be held across Sydney.

The three satellite events will have an entry fee of $110 entry fee, a start stack of 20,000-start stack and 20-minute levels. There is also a $50 add-on for an extra 20,000 in tournament chips.

Best of all, a guaranteed Aussie Millions Main Event seat will be up for grabs at each event. Excess cash will be awarded as MAIN EVENT seats (worth $1200 each) or cash. Registration starts at 11am for a noon start.
