ADELAIDE CHAMPS: National spotlight turns to South Australia

Hundreds of millions of dollars have been wagered today on two events – the Melbourne Cup and the $100 million Oz Lotto draw. The prizepool may not reach those lofty heights, but there’ll be good money up for grabs over the next 12 days during the Adelaide Poker Championship at Adelaide Casino.

Action is underway in the opening event of the series, the $350 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Teams Event with a great mix of tournaments scheduled culminating in the $1500 buy-in Main Event, which starts next Thursday (November 15).

For the second year in a row, the Jonathan Karamalikis Cup will also be played as part of the Adelaide Poker Champs. This $2200 buy-in six-handed NLHE event was first played in 2011 when it attracted an elite field of 25 players while offering a prizepool of $62,500.

Satellites for this and other Adelaide Champs events, including the Main Event, will be held at the Poker Zone throughout the series. All the best to David Galpin and the Adelaide Casino poker team for a successful series. See schedule below:
