CROWN PERTH: Aslani takes narrow lead into Western Classic final table

Tony Aslani takes the narrowest of leads into today’s finale of the Western Classic Main Event at Crown Perth after the field was reduced from 27 to nine on day three.

An elite line-up of local players remain in contention for the title, with Dale Marsland lying just 8000 in chips adrift of Aslani while Paul Sharbanee holds 345,000 to be in third position.

The Main Event final table will start at 2.10pm tomorrow (Sunday), followed shortly after by the $550 No Limit Hold’em six-handed tournament at 3pm.

• A field of 31 players took to the Crown Perth felt in pursuit of the Western Classic Ladies title. Lorinda Johnson underlined her status as one of the leading female players in WA with victory (worth $1800) over Alison McDermott.
