With the NPL500 run and won for 2012, NPL players are now gearing up for the final major events of the year. First up this weekend (October 20-21) is the NPL Quarterly Final, which will be played at the Parramatta Leagues Club.
Based on a field of 300 runners, the prizepool will comprise a massive $150,000 – $131,400 in cash and six NPL World Tour tickets (valued at $18,600). There is also a huge haul of 20,000 points for the winner towards the NPL Player of the Year.
Both days will kick-off at 11am (registration from 9.30am on Saturday) with 16 levels of 40 minutes scheduled for the first day. Players will start with a stack of 20,000 in chips.

• Those six players who win NPL World Tour (NPLWT) tickets won’t have long to wait as the next NPLWT event is scheduled for November 12-17. After last year’s highly successful tournament, the NPLWT is returning to Manila in the Philippines.
Players will again be staying at the stunning six-star Maxims Tower Hotel in the Resorts World Casino Complex (pictured top) – a luxury casino resort and has a great mix of restaurants, bars, shops, spas, shows, nightclubs and, of course, and international standard poker room.
After flying into Manila on November 12, players will hit the felt for the NPLWT Event with up to $100,000 up for grabs on November 13-14. Another of the highlights of the trip will be the players’ party at the REPUBLIQ Night Club at Resorts World on November 14. Players then have two free days before flying home on Saturday, November 17.
In addition to players who’ve qualified for the trip, there are several other packages available for those who wish to bring a partner or friend, of those who just wish to share the experience of one of the most unique events on the Aussie poker calendar. For more details, click here.
