The opening weekend of action in the Western Classic at Crown Perth has ended with the first two winners of the week decided. The 2012 schedule kicked-off with a $250 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Second Chance tournament, which attracted an excellent field of 134 players. Chris Fogarty collected the win for $8700.
Next up was an action-packed $150 Pot Limit Omaha event with the added juice of $100 rebuys and a single or double add-on. The field of 42 players built a prizepool of more than $21,000 with Darren Mundy more than happy to head to the cage to collect his first prize of $8000.
Another excellent turnout contested yesterday’s (Sunday’s) $150 No Limit Hold’em (w/ $100 rebuys & single/double add-on) event while the Western Classic continues tonight with the $275 No Limit Hold’em Terminator.
