One of the more innovative tournament series ever offered at an Australian casino kicks-off at Adelaide Casino tomorrow.
The first running of the Casino Champs is open only to Australasian casino and poker industry employees, with entrants required to show proof of eligibility upon entry.
Uniquely, the series also starts with the Main Event, which will be played as a $330 buy-in No Limit Hold’em freezeout. Levels on days 1A (October 2) and day 1B (October 3) will be 25 minutes, increasing to 30 minutes for day two (October 4), while players will start with 20,000 in chips.
From 5pm on October 2 and 3, there will be a $100 No Limit Hold’em freezeout then on Thursday (October 5) at 5pm, the title of Casino Champs $150 PLO/NLHE champion will be up for grabs. The series culminates with a $150 buy-in No Limit Hold’em terminator on Friday.
