The second edition of the Marconi Cup Carnival kicks-off later today at Sydney’s Poker Palace, featuring eight championship events and a guaranteed prizepool of $50,000 in cash and prizes across almost two weeks.
The festival starts with the popular Marconi Cup Madness – for a buy-in of just $25 (with rebuys and an add-on), players will battle for a slice of a $20,000 guaranteed prizepool. Players can re-enter if eliminated with four day one flights scheduled.
Qualifiers will battle for one of two $5000 WSOP Asia-Pacific packages in the Marconi Cup Grand Final on Saturday, before an Omaha/Hold’em rotation event, action-packed rebuy tournament and terminator-style Knock Out event.
The schedule concludes with the Marconi Cup Main Event – in this $450 buy-in two-day event, players will start with 30,000 in chips while levels of 30 minutes (day one) and 40 minutes (day two) will provide ample opportunity for patient, deep stack poker.
