ASIA: Two Aussies through to MPCC Main Event final table

A pair of Aussies will join the final table later today for the finale to the Macau Cup Poker Championship at the Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex.

Ryan Hong carried his day two chip lead through to seventh chip position while Bob Streatfeild, who made the trek to Macau with a group from the Western Australian Poker League is the outright short stack.

Day three started with 45 of the original 270 players. The field never even reached the dinner break as 36 players hit the rail by the midway point of the day’s fifth level. Another WAPL player, Jill Maley, snuck into the money in 29th.

Korea’s Sunny Jung dominated most of day three but it was China’s Rui Chen who ended the day as chip leader with 1,325,000. The businessman qualified for the main event for just HKD $1100 through a live satellite.
