PUB POKER: WSOP APAC packages up for grabs in East Coast Champs

The excitement of the first World Series of Poker Asia Pacific is building with each week and, thanks to Southern Cross Poker (SCP), you could be the first Aussie to win a gold bracelet on home soil.

On Sunday (August 5), SCP’s signature event, the East Coast Poker Championship (ECPC), kicks-off at noon with the guaranteed prizepool rising to $30,000. With the buy-in remaining at only $200, this event is one of the biggest regularly scheduled pub poker events anywhere in the country.

Included in the prizepool are three WSOP APAC packages valued at $1800, which include return airfares from Newcastle to Melbourne, two night’s accommodation, entry to the anticipated $1100 NLHE bracelet event and a Team SCP WSOP shirt. The top three finishers will win one of these packages.

Registration for this Sunday’s ECPC opens at 11am, with cards in the air an hour later at Mayfield Diggers (Hanbury St, Mayfield, NSW). Players will start with 25,000 in chips with levels of 25 minutes.

• Southern Cross Poker is also pleased to announce the launch of its successful poker model in Queensland and the North-East of NSW. The first games were held in the past fortnight, and with many venues and multiple events already confirmed. For more details, check out www.southerncrosspoker.com.au.
