Perth’s second major tournament series of 2012 is underway at Burswood Casino with the latest edition of the Sapphire Series Poker Challenge running through until Sunday (July 22).
The series kicked-off on Saturday with a $330 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event, which attracted 94 players and offered a prizepool of $27,730. After 10 hours of play, Patrick Connolly emerged victorious.
The highlight of the week is the $1100 buy-in Main Event, with day one flights on July 19 and 20 (featuring a repechage format for flight 2) before the finale on Sunday, July 22.
