PUB POKER: Big bucks on the border as APL NSW Pro Open hits the road

The NSW Pro Open is hitting the road this weekend and, for the time, players from Melbourne will be closer to the action than their Sydney counterparts!

The June NSW Pro Open Road Trip is being hosted by the Howlong Golf Club, just outside the border cities of Albury/Wodonga, with a four-day festival of poker offering a total prizepool of $40,000.

The schedule actually kicked-off last night (Thursday) with a $120 NLHE High Roller event and a NLHE Deep Stack Freezeout while tonight (Friday), Tag Team and Turbo Deep Stack tournaments were scheduled.

Things step up another notch tomorrow Saturday with four events – first-up the No-Limit HOP Event, followed by a $700 Freeroll. At 5.30pm there will be a NLHE Cubed Event, and at 9pm a NLHE Freezeout.

The festival culminates on Sunday with the June NSW Pro Open offering a prize pool of $25,000 including a WSOP package, three MAIN EVENT seats, 32 Pro Open tickets and $4400 cash. Then at 5.30pm, a $5 Frenzy will cap off four incredible days of action on the felt.

Good luck and safe travels for players heading north or south on the Hume for this special NSW Pro Open event!
