Australia’s newest casino tournament event – the Autumn Classic Poker Series – is scheduled to kick-off at Adelaide Casino tomorrow (Monday).
With the steady demise of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour, casinos around the country have moved quickly to fill the demand with Adelaide Casino adding its second new series for 2012.
The Autumn Classic Poker Series kicks-off on Monday (May 21) with the $450 Long Tran Triple Chance No Limit Hold’em event. In addition to cash and a trophy for the winner, he or she will earn naming rights for a future Adelaide Casino event – just like Long Tran and several players before.
The highlight of the schedule is the innovative $550 buy-in Autumn Classic Poker Series Main Event. Under the “super repechage” format, there will be four day one flights and players can enter as many flights as they like. If players survive multiple day one flights, they will take their largest stack through to day two and ‘cash out’ their extra stack/s! In addition, all players who return for day two will be assured a payout, which means there is the chance that players can cash more than once in the same tournament!
To wrap-up the series, there is a $235 No Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha Teams Event on Friday (May 25) from 7.15pm, then a $235 No Limit Hold’em Terminator on Saturday (May 26), kicking-off at 2.15pm.
