The National Poker League (NPL) spotlight returns to the Parramatta Leagues Club this weekend (April 21-22) for the second NPL Quarterly Final of 2012.
Back in February, Quoc Nguyen won more than $45,000 and led a list of six NPL500 III ticket winners as an NPL Quarterly champion, and it’s expected that another prizepool of $150,000 will be up for grabs this weekend. Last chance satellites will also be scheduled for night before the NPL Quarterly Final. The NPL Quarterly Final is also a 20x Player of the Year point multiplier with 20,000 points for the winner.
Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips with 16 levels of 40 minutes scheduled for the opening day. Day two will also comprise levels of 40 minutes in duration. The NPL Quarterly Final is at Parramatta Leagues Club (13-15 O’Connell Street, Parramatta). Registration is from 9.30am for an 11am start.
Another six NPL500 III tickets will also be up for grabs this weekend. It was recently announced that for the first time, the NPL’s marquee event will be played at The Star in Sydney (August 25-26) where it’s expected that a field of 250 players will again battle for $500,000 in cash and prizes.
NPL500 III Tickets can be won via NPL satellite games, which include giveaways, Special Events, Quarterly Finals, Regional Finals and Monthly Finals. Buy-ins may be available if there are unallocated seats two weeks before the tournament.
Based on a field of 250 players, the winner will take home a prize package of $200,000 including $102,000 in cash, an Audi A4 2.0L TFSI S-Line (valued at $95,000) and a ticket to the next NPL World Tour event valued at $3000.
