The cards are in the air at Club Central Hurstville for the first APL/888PL NSW State Championships for 2012. A field of 429 players will be spread across two flights today in the battle for a share of $60,000 in cash and MAIN EVENT seats.
Some of the notables who’ll be in action today include inaugural MAIN EVENT champion Nathan Gauci, Pink Heart Ladies winner Molli-Rose Brown and recent NSW Pro Open victors Chris Byrne (January) and Bashir Skaf (March).
And for those who won’t be taking part in the State Champs, the Saturday $5 Frenzy will kick-off at 6.30pm (5.30pm registration) featuring the normal APL blind structure with 15-minute levels while unlimited rebuys and late registration will be permitted until the first break.
