Adelaide Casino has carved a niche on the local calendar as the first venue for major tournament poker after the Aussie Millions, and that tradition is continuing in 2012 with the first edition of the Poker Zone Cup.
The series opened with a $235 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Teams Event, which attracted a field of 49 combinations. The final table lasted almost three hours until Antony Perrotta and Dragan Milojevic emerged victorious.
Next up on the Poker Zone Cup schedule is the $450 Michael Sellars NLHE Triple Chance event. Not only will the winner earn naming rights for this event when it is next played, there is a $1000 bounty on the scalp of Michael Sellars!
The $1100 buy-in Main Event kicks-off on Wednesday (February 15) with the first of two day-one flights before the champion is decided on Saturday, February 18. The series wraps-up with a $50 Pot Limit Omaha rebuy event before a $235 buy-in NLHE Terminator event.
