After the success of the first event, the APL will hold the second edition of the APL Sydney Champs will be held at the Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club in Barrack Heights on Sunday (November 27).
The $28,000 estimated prize pool (based on a 400 player capped event will pay the top 32 and the winner will walk away with a cool $10,000). The prize pool is guaranteed at $20,000.
The APL Sydney Champs was the brainchild of passionate APL franchisee Mark Harmon, and is designed to offer something different to local players, with the qualification criteria decided by the franchisees.
Most Sydney metro regions and surrounding districts will be represented, including Burwood/Canterbury/Marrickville; Sydney South West; Sydney Inner West; Central Coast; City North; Hills District; Illawarra North; Penrith/Blacktown/Hawkesbury; Ryde/Canada Bay/Gladesville; Southern Highlands; Sydney City; and Sydney South.
The Sydney Champs runs as a genuine deep stack event with a start bank of 20,000 combined with relaxed structure. Registration kicks off at 9am, with the first hand due to be dealt at 11am.
