ANZPT DARWIN: The Hills are alive in the Top End

The final ANZPT event is underway in Darwin, where a modest field of 34 players took to the felt at SKYCITY for day 1A. Just five levels of play were scheduled, after which one of the Top End’s best-known player Roy Hills emerged as the chip leader on 61,850.

Other notables to survive the day’s action included Brendon Rubie (51,175), Michael Guzzardi (20,875) and Ben Savage (16,550) but the tournament is over for keen barra fisherman Bruno Portaro, Jackie Glazier and Octavian Voegele. Action continues today in the Top End with day 1B. The tournament wraps-up on Saturday.
