CROWN: Wing soars to chip lead heading into final day

A total of 95 players started day two but it wasn’t until the early hours of Monday morning that the final hand was dealt. Local player Tom Wing finished as the only player with more than one million in chips (1,027,000 to be exact) ahead of 2009 ANZPT Queenstown champ Danny Chevalier (883,000) and 2006 Aussie Millions champion Lee Nelson (750,000).

Having finished runner-up in both APPT and ANZPT events, Kiwi Phillip Willcocks is again handily poised to go one better, lying fifth with 559,000. Play is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm Melbourne time.
